About

c proHi, there, and welcome to my blog!  I’m Christy and as you’ll find out as you read here, I love adventure, laughter and children, talking with friends, music, debates, and going out for coffee.  I enjoy life with my wonderful husband Steve and our sons Zachary and Ian.  I am grateful to God who gives true meaning to life.

I have always enjoyed observing beauty.  As a teenager I’d walk out to the middle of a field or the crest of a hill where I could bask in the wonder of the world around me.  Before long I’d burst out in a song or start writing (whether in my head or a journal varied from time to time) about what I was seeing–the blend of colors, the tall grasses whispering to each other, the freedom of the birds.  I dreamed of being able to paint, like my mother was able to do, the world as I saw it.  I never could bring to life on canvas what I felt with my heart.  Now, through photography I am being able to express that beauty.  When I glimpse the genuine expression of a person’s spirit captured in a portrait, I feel a sense of fulfillment and purpose.

As a photographer, I specialize in natural light, on-location photography.  I love photographing children and thoroughly enjoy working with them–yup, even if they don’t just sit, pose, and smile.  :)  I have lots of practice chasing after a busy toddler and I do love the natural look of kids on the go.

I hope that you will be able to experience with me the joy and beauty of life, people, and the details of the world around us.

Feel free to contact me.  I love hearing from you!!
