Robert & Karla l Wedding

I don’t remember the first time Karla and I met, but I know it was in Belize about seven years ago.  I was the newest missionary teacher on staff and probably the youngest, too.  I was thrilled to have girls my age to hang out with and a family so full of laughter and fun made it all the better.  Even though there were several years between us (so significant at that age) Karla and I found a common friendship right from the start.  After several months their family moved back to Pennsylvania and less than a year later I moved back to Virginia and then to Texas.  Because we lived so far apart, we weren’t able to get together very often.  But we’d call occasionally and it always felt so good to connect with her again.  She listened to my long tales of woe and my falling in love stories. 

Now here we are several years later and Karla is a happy B R I D E. 

I wonder how many weddings I’ll shoot before I make it through without crying at all.  I always do at some point because there are so many emotions in the air.  I knew it wouldn’t be a question at this one!

Something tells me Karla feels safe with Robert.

And happy.
